Here's the response I got from JewlMint customer service about my sad bracelet. I'm pleased with this outcome -- I definitely appreciate the good customer service seen here:

Hi Laura,

I'm so sorry to hear about your experience with your bracelet.  Unfortunately, we have had some issues with that particular item tarnishing.  I haven't heard anything in terms of that bracelet actually breaking, so I sincerely apologize for that. 

Generally, we have customers return defective items to us, but please don't worry about doing so.  There is no need :)  As an apology, I have issued 1 JewelMint credit to your account which is valid for 1 year.  It is good for 1 piece of jewelry. 

We will definitely pass along your feedback.  It is greatly appreciated.  Please let me know if I can be of further assistance.  Have a great day!
